A Blocked Fallopian Tube means that one or both tubes (which connect the ovaries to the uterus) are partially or completely closed.
1. Proximal Block (near the uterus)
Caused by mucus, infection, or spasm.
2. Distal Block (near the ovary)
Often due to adhesions or infection.
3. Hydrosalpinx (Tube filled with fluid)
The tube becomes swollen with fluid and reduces fertility.
4. Unilateral Block
Only one tube blocked → still possible to conceive naturally.
5. Bilateral Block
Both tubes blocked → natural pregnancy not possible.
